House Sitter in Lexington, Virginia

My husband's family grew up in Natural Bridge, family accountant and doctors are in Lexington, VA. The Chiles family has a great history with VMI as a donor and supporter. I have owned homes since I was 19 and can deal with most small issues, if I can't I know how to contact someone for help. I am great with pets, plants, seniors, and kids. I am a freelance contractor for DOD and NLSC as an interpreter of Portuguese and Spanish, so I have a non-senstive clearance with them, besides having passed a police background check with Rover. I do not really want pay if home is safe, clean and non-smoking. I prefer dogs, to cats, but have owned and cared for both. (Only 1 cat, please, unless they are outside cats. I have owned horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turtles and snakes. I actually rescued a Homing Pigeon, with a ankle band of Twin Towers and cared for him for two weeks while I tried to trace the owner. It took me eight days of calling to finally discover the owner's name. Another four days for him to call me back. I took care of the Pigeon for almost two weeks. Then I followed instructions for releasing this new homing pigeon, that was not really great at getting back home. I was in the Northern Neck of Virginia at that time. All of my pets have lived longer than usual. I have references on Trusted Housesitters *******, too. I am going to Lexington to give some supplemental care to my 99 year old mother in law that lives at Kendal in Lexington.
