August 11, 2016 To whom it may concern: My wife Ellen and I took a two-week RV trip and needed someone to care for our family of pets and our home. We connected with Debbie and Chip Willis on an online house-sitter web service. Debbie and Chip were easy to reach and communicated well during the vetting process. We started with emails, then Skype and a phone call. I contacted several of their references and all gave me good reports. We asked Debbie and Chip to arrive a day before our departure so we could get to know them and to show them our needs. They arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. We reviewed the care our family needed and enjoyed dinner with them. Ellen and I stayed in our RV that night while the Willises stayed in our home. Ellen and I departed early the next morning on time. During our time away, we exchanged a few emails and texts as minor questions arose. We preferred minimal communication so we could feel “on vacation” and the Willises were accommodating. We returned home a few weeks later late in the afternoon. Debbie served us a great welcome-home dinner and we enjoyed their company, conversation and stories of our pets while we were away. Our pets were happy and appeared well cared for. Our home looked better than we left it, clean and neat. What I enjoyed most about the Willises was how easy it was to talk with them about everyday things as well as house-sitting.
