House Sitter in Nantucket, Massachusetts

Why Nantucket? I know Nantucket well from visiting with family for many decades and I love the Grey Lady. I have my own home in central New Hampshire and I understand your homeowner worries! I'm a good problem solver and fortunately, a few of my Nantucket relatives are professionals in the building trades so I'm never far from technical help when needs go beyond my abilities. I'm a serious animal lover, having trained,cared for and loved most domestic pets over my lifetime. My current two pets, small well-behaved Australian Shepherds, work with me when we care for other dogs, cats, and even chickens. My friends say they've never known that chickens could be trained or that cats could be as engaged as mine have been. My main career was primarily in school psychology and psychotherapy, but more recently I have also taught ESL, yoga and high school English. I am passionate about gardening also, both decorative and edible; I would LOVE to care for your precious plants and garden. I tend to have a simple lifestyle that embraces the ideals of sustainability, and a philosophy that is inclusive and supportive of all life. Currently I live on Nantucket with my son's family, so I am available to meet you and your pet(s) and see your home at any time. I am quite flexible as to length of house sitting assignments and I have no preferences about start and end dates. I look forward to seeing if our needs match!
