House Sitter in Eagleville, Tennessee

I am a retired school teacher. I am dependable and reliable. I love taking care of animals. I am a very loving care giver. Your pets will be treated as my own. I share my life and my home with eight cats. There is Zoomzoom, the youngest. He was a desposable animal that I rescued. His mom and siblings were poisoned by someone. A small kitten dragged itself to my garage. As I was trying to catch it I saw a kitten in the yard. As I walked toward it I saw another kitten. I saw one in the yard next to me and two more in the yard two doors down. Three of the kittens were already dead. My Zoomzoom and another one were still alive. I thought I had gotten to them in time, but the other kitten didn't make it. Zoomzoom was so small that two of him could have fit in my hand. I feed him every two hours for two weeks. I never left him. I wore a sweatshirt and placed him in the front pouch. At the end of the first week he was walking around. By the end of the second week he adopted me as his forever mom. Today, he is never far from me. My other seven cats are rescue animals as well. Their names are Lily, Little Man, Babae, Wiley, Sis, Grace, and Precious. I love dogs just as much. Currently I do not have a dog in my home. I am not quite over loosing Madeline and Rhett. Madeline loved me for 19 years. She was a beautiful Sheltie who died from cancer three years ago. My Rhett was 10 when he passed two years ago. He died from a brain tumor. He was a goofy, fun loving Weimar who I miss terribly. Resently I volunteered with ARC, American Rescue Corporation in Lebanon, TN. I was one of many volunteers who loved and cared for over one hundred dogs and cats displaced by the hurricanes in Peurto Rico. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do after I retired. My experience with ARC has made me realize I want to spend my time caring for animals. I was raised on a farm. My father raised angus cattle, goats, hogs, and kept horses for me. I have always had cats and dogs for pets. I have also had pet goats, rabbits, a ground hog, and an opossum. I was raised to take care of animals first. Every day my dad and I would walk the farm to be sure everyone was accounted for. The animals were feed and watered before we would go home and eat. I learned responsibility and compassion for animals. I have always had animals in my life and always will. My soul would feel incomplete without them. You can rest assured that I will love your pets as my own and that I will take the best care if them while you are away.
