I am a neat, tidy & organized mom who takes pride in keeping a clean and green house. I recycle, reduce, reuse, compost and use all natural cleaning products. I've cared for indoor and outdoor plants, and can operate yard equipment such as lawnmowers, weed wackers, hedgers, and clippers. As a homeowner I know how to troubleshoot basic issues such as flipping a breaker in a fuse panel, disarming/arming a home security system, turning sprinklers on/off, setting a thermostat, or lighting a pilot on a heater/stove. I know how to operate household appliances such as washers/dryers, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and trash compactors. I understand the amount of time & pride one takes in cultivating their home environment just so and I respect the sanctity of your personal space. A lover of music, nature and animals, I believe in vibing out to some positive jams, naming & conversing with your plants, and hanging out/including/chatting it up wiith your pets just as you would a good friend. I must have done something right, since I managed to keep our little chihuahua/jack russell @peanutbutterjonez alive for 16 years and counting! In addition to dogs, I've also cared for horses, goats, chickens, & bees on the Williams Family ranch in Vacaville, CA, including paid work experience for the licensed cat-boarding facility, Kitter Care, located on site. Not only did I exercise, feed, water, give meds, change litter, wash bedding, and sanitize cat kennels for Kitter Care, but I also prepared mash, measured supplements, and weighed flakes of hay to feed the horses & goats down at the barn, being aware of each animals quirky personality traits and any notable group dynamics that might require feeding in a certain order to reduce conflicts. If they didn't come to the barn right away to eat, occassionally I'd have to take a lead and a snack & walk out there to lure them in. I netted & topped off water buckets & scooped poop while I waited to let them out of their stalls after eating. I used fly spray or put on their fly masks when appropriate before letting them out to pasture. A responsible pitbull owner for over 10 years, I have a deep love, understanding & respect for the breed which, along with a calm but authoritative demeanor allows me to easily earn trust and confidently maintain control during walks or new experiences. I know the basics of pool maintenance, operating the pool cover, netting debris, checking temp & chemical levels, turning on filters & pumps. I am available M-F morning/afternoon for a check-in, walk, litter change & feeding, as well as weekends to stay over if needed.
