House Sitter in Lafayette, California

I am a retired accountant (7 years non-profits, 18 years SEC reporting, 5 years public accounting, 5 years working in Europe) and my husband Dave is a retired project manager. My first au-pair job was in Paris as a student where I did housecleaning in exchange for a room and I always thought I might do it again. Dave and love exploring new cities, small towns, rural areas, national and regional parks, and getting outdoors. We love Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco where we like to visit museums or take neighborhood walks, urban walks or bus tours. We love small towns with populations less than 3,000 people near forests, deserts, beach, agriculture, or lakes. We love Yosemite, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Glacier, East Bay Regional Parks, Mt. Shasta, Rocky Mountain National Park, Big Bend. We have maintained a home, garden, and pool for 30 years. We have raised two children and we had two dogs and a parakeet during those years. Dave is very handy with plumbing, carpentry, handyman, pool and gardening projects. I am very handy at paperwork, bills, scheduling, tidying up, making appointments, taking deliveries, running errands, supervising, and whatever else needs to get done to make a house operate. We would very much enjoy having a home base in new areas of the country and taking care of your home so that you can go off on business or personal trips without worrying about your home, garden, pool, and pets.
