House Sitter in Santa Barbara, California

About Skyler: Some info about me: I love reading with open windows, going on walks, yoga, picnics, hiking with my dog (a siberian husky/german shepherd mix), used & annotated books, cobblestone streets, napping in the grass, reading in coffee shops, exploring, eating breakfast outside, and making homemade pop-tarts. Why I want to house sit: I am a 24-year-old Californian currently living and housesitting in Puglia, Italy. I just finished a short-term English teaching job in Umbria, Italy, in a small, magical cliff-top town called Orvieto. I am currently in a sort of interim in life as I have just applied for grad school for literature (University of Bologna, Syracuse, UW) and I am writing for an online magazine. My plan is to stay in Italy to practice my Italian until May, then I will move back to Santa Barbara, CA. My experience: I attended college in Santa Barbara, California, where I worked as a nanny for all 4 years. After creating trusting relationships with these families through their children, I often house sat and pet sat for them over holidays and vacations. I have experience apartment-sitting in London for 10 days. Currently, I am in the middle of a housesitting job in Puglia that is 3 months long.
