House Sitter in Nashville, Tennessee

I'm an
Individual
Hi, I'm Sonya, a friendly 44-year-old wanderluster. I have a high-compliance personality, which means I am also naturally prone to order and structure and happiest when exceeding your expectations. (I know how opposed those qualities sound, but trust me, I pull it off all the time.) I believe our homes are sacred spaces of retreat and restoration, and while I enjoy travel and adventure, I seriously appreciate coming back to a place that feels familiar and comfortable. And clean! I would care for your home with the utmost respect and gratitude. I am a Reiki practitioner, so your plants and pets will also benefit from the positive energy I bring along with me. Testimonial "I can't tell you how appreciative I am for you and all the comfort you have provided to my kitties, my house, and to me knowing that my world was in good hands until I returned. Thank you thank you thank you! I also hope the house has provided you with everything you needed to nourish after all of your travels. As you know, Energy of a home is very important to me, and I appreciate that you have brought so much high vibing chi to the house, keeping it activated and alive in my absence." Why I want to house sit I have been traveling full time for sixteen months now, and some of my favorite moments have been those in which I have shared the homes of others. I am still traveling full time, but my blossoming business requires me to have more reliable access to cell service and wifi. I could resort to renting more Airbnbs, but a friend suggested I try house sitting instead, as a win-win opportunity to serve a homeowner in the process. Being a newbie to this, I am open to many types of homes and experiences while I feel my way through the matching process and narrow down the environments that are a best fit for my level of attention and care. My professional experience Before becoming an author and women's adventure coach, I held executive positions in hospitality management, nonprofit management, marketing and fund development, meetings and conventions. At various points in my professional career: * I was trusted with contract negotiation and public relations. * I ran six-figure fundraisers and managed a 3/4-million dollar budget. * I participated in the citizens review panel for United Way community impact grants. * I rallied community support and established inter-agency collaboration in a housing campaign. * I helped expand a family winery by launching their third tasting room complete with gourmet cheese counter. I was responsible for project management on the build-out, followed by managing the budget and operations of the new facility, including staffing and marketing needs. After two years, my responsibility for managing finances, sales and hospitality extended to all three locations across the state of Washington. * I recently wrote a book about sacred solo travel, a collection of my own personal stories detailing how solo travel can bring new passion and purpose into your life. Along with my book, I launched my coaching practice, offering women the support and advice they need to create their own solo travel adventure in a way that is smart and safe. What else? I am a lifelong learner and over-achiever, which gives me astute attention to detail and an inner drive to continually grow and improve whatever I touch. I'm far from stuffy though, with a deep appreciation for beauty and an active, creative spirit. I smile easily and look for ways to bring joy to others too. I am drawn to green spaces and enjoy the outdoors, whether it is hiking through the mountains or strolling through a city park.

To whom it may concern: I wish to recommend Sonya Morrison as your house sitter. She is an intelligent and helpful friend with good ethics. She has stayed at our house twice now and we completely trust her. While staying with us, she would do her professional work in the morning and helped us with several home improvement projects in the afternoons. For example, she helped with our bathroom remodel, cutting and installing sheet vinyl and trim. She has good attention to detail as shown by the great job she did painting the bathroom as well. She's not afraid of hard work. She is a happy person who doesn't smoke or do drugs. She is up early and self motivated. She cleans up after herself and doesn't leave messes for others to fix. She is willing to learn. I highly recommend her as a house sitter.

I have known Sonya Morrison for several years during which time I've seen her be one of the hardest working people I've known. Recently, Sonya was able to assist me as a co-housing / housesitting option living in my guest room for a couple weeks. While I focused on work in my art studio behind my home, Sonya spent time working on writing her book. Her assistance was invaluable as she was attentive to my three small dogs and even helped with cleanup chores and other daily needs, allowing me to focus on deadlines. Lucky for me Sonya loves to cook so she made dinner and always cleaned up the cooking mess. When Sonya left she was thorough about taking all of her possessions and she left things spotless. I would eagerly have Sonya return and recommend her for any housesitting scenario needed. You will not find a more honest or dependable person to take care of your home.

Sonya Morrison is dedicated and hard working. Her ability to take care of everything in your home including pets, delivery services, household chores etc etc with happiness and a positive attitude is a marvel. Anything we asked of her was performed with a smile. As a house sitter, I can’t imagine there’s anyone better but as the trusted friend she became is a gift of a lifetime. Our three kitties absolutely fell in love with her and will miss her til the next time, and there will be a next time for sure. Sonya thank you, thank you, thank you! If you’re in need of a loving person to care for your home, you just found her!!

Sonya Morrison came at short notice to cover a Christmas with our Kitties. Both have some sort of special needs and she was an absolute star. She clearly cared for the little ones above and beyond and left the house in great condition when she left. Cannot be more grateful and recommend more highly!

Sonya is a true gift! She creates the most loving, safe and comfortable environment for your pets. I think my dogs really missed her when we got home! Sonya’s amazing high vibe energy was just the right fit for our home while we were away. She is beyond responsible, professional and truly a huge relief knowing she was in our home while we were gone. I highly recommend her.
