Stress-free vacations at your service! I am a reliable caregiver with a solid, practical set of house caretaking skills. My day job is an electrician for a solar company. With plans to move in a couple years, a roomate who is allergic to cats and other circumstances, full-time pet ownership isn't right for me now. However, I really enjoy interacting with animals and I know from experience how difficult it can be to find someone who will understand the type of care your pets and home will need. I did this as a side gig in Alaska, and really enjoyed it. I've cared for everything from sleepy old cats on a little sailboat to a "Marley" energy-like labrador in a high-end home. I'm offering anything from once-a-week runs to long term homestays. Availability: Mon-Friday I work 8hr days, but can walk a dog or the like before/ after work & be "company". Weekends I can travel a little further, potentially put in a little more time with animal care. I have experience with all the basic chores you may need done, from collecting mail to hot tub care to chopping wood. I do not have formal experience training pets but I have a better than average sense of pet needs & feel capable of creating a harmonious atmosphere for all of us creatures. I do have experience pet sitting for a number of Alaskans, and I used to run pound dogs for fun. Yes, I love the high-energy critters! And I can snuggle up or just be present with the calmer ones.
