I started house/plant/pet sitting several years ago living in California and I have numerous references that I am happy to provide contact information for if you request it. I have done a range of jobs from long term house and pet sitting as well as daily drop-ins, dog walking/exercise, administering medication, and lawn/yard work. I really enjoy hanging out with pets, as I live in an apartment and don't have my own!
