House Sitter in Palisades Park, New Jersey

I'm an
Individual
Responsible House Care Provider now available for open jobs - short term and long term assignments. I am quite handy and possess many skill sets that are invaluable to house sitting. From menial tasks to small projects, I haven't found an assignment I can't figure out how to complete mostly without professional assistance. I love helping people, so this type of work is a natural fit for my personality. I love to write and travel, so managing your home for the short term or long haul is bound to spark my creativity. I am a 15-year Real Estate Sales Veteran. At this point, taking care of people and their homes is in my blood. It's as natural as breathing for me. I have a pretty even-tempered laid back personality, but don't let that fool you. I pay attention to everything and everyone. I am an observer by nature and nurture, so I am pretty meticulous about my surroundings. I have semi-photographic memory. I know that sound kinda weird, but the things that matter to me, I commit to memory almost automatically. The things that don't .... are stored in the bottom shelves of my memory bank. I can still recall them, but not at the exactness of seeing them visually. Its a very handy trait and gift. I love to travel. I used to hate it when I was younger because I was forced to by my parents. Since College, I've fallen in love with it. I could go anywhere, even by myself and I will find someone to befriend and some amazing off the beat places to explore. I have a curious streak about how people live all over the globe. In fact, it's built into my bucket list.... that my toes touchdown on every country in the world. A tall order, I know, but I'm down 30, so 165 more to go. LOL. Life is already an adventure, so my thinking is.....really make it an adventure. You only get one go around...as far as we know. And life is shorter than we all wish. I lost my Mom last year to lung cancer. She was a non-smoker and a healthy eater, so the shock and awe of it are still a very confusing gut punch. It did, however, give me a big jolt and forced me to ask ..."what am I supposed to do here on this side of dirt?" It has to align with my nature, skills, gifts, talents and passions or curiosity. 3 Words: Travel, Explore and Help. They are vague, I know, but it lends to the whole exploration theme. It begs an answer for the onslaught of questions that those 3 words trigger. Travel where? Explore What? Help Who? All of those can be answered in a very scientific and methodical process that I use when I want to do my calculations. Get a spinning globe, close my eyes and stick my finger into the rotation, stopping it on an unseen destination point. I can expand it to the general finger-pointed area or the exact pinpoint spot where my finger landed -- just depends on what I find in that area to explore. Then I make plans to go. It could be next week or next year. I always invite my friends. Many of my friends are constrained to 9-5 jobs that dont lend to giving them much flexibility. Other friends happen to be consultants and have jumped on anumber of my crazy excursions. Second and Third loves are tied. Writing and Music. Sometimes they can even become one in the same. My explorations extend to symbols and melodies. Both enable me to travel to places of my own creation and take a ride on the paths of my fellow creators and creatives. Travel and Exploring is always a circular proposition for me. It requires me to come back to a home base from time to time.....to regroup, document my experiences, get grounded and write. I am just finishing a 1-year house-sitting stint in New Rochelle, NY. It was great living in 2 very different worlds in the NEW YORK REALM or BUBBLE -- Urban and Suburban. Easily moving seamlessly through these 2 orbital realities, I get to plug into the pulsating energy pull of all 5 Burroughs, while also being able to unplug and detach myself and reconnect to the serentity and solitude of the suburban sanctuary. It is indeed the best of both worlds while being in the Most Famous and Desired Metropolis destinations in the world. Moving in and out of the conscious flurry of peddling feet and flickering lights and also the unconscious organized chaos of moving bodies like ions in the midst of combustion. Its just amazing. A paradise for an explorer like myself. Home becomes where the heart can expand and contract in the rhythmic balance of peace and stillness. It cleanses the throne where the mind can just be. That's just a little taste of my world. As I talk and network with different folk, I am ultimately transformed and transfixed into their worlds. It is the most fascinating thing ever, if you choose to think about it that way. Even negative experiences at the time, offer a slightly new perspective, even if not totally in alignment with one's own. The world is that Big and also that Small. Thats so incredible if you just think about it. Well, hopefully, we can share some stories as I slow myself down and sit your home, while you travel. I can always live vicariously through your travel ventures, whether for business or leisure. Experiences are always happening around us wherever we go, you just gotta be conscientious enough to see them, and if courageous, to join in. Life: The Greatest Adventure Ride on Earth. Make it a gr8 Day, & Smile, I bet it looks great on You Rudy "You cannot outbeat Unrelenting Optimism" .......... ME (I think I was the first to word it this way....LOL)
