House Sitter in Norfolk, Virginia

I have about 15 years of janitorial service experience at a combination of janitorial companies under Skip Weekly of the Redcoats lnc., Onesource, and K-Plus janitorial companies. As I worked at Norfolk, VA's World Trade Center and other Norfolk, VA office buildings. I took out the trash, dusted office spaces, vacuumed, cleaned restrooms, kitchen spaces, stairwells, and carpet cleaned as well. I helped train new workers to the job as needed. I have food handling experience at the Norfolk Public Schools Substitute Food Service worker program for 2 years, Kelly's Temporary Service in Charleston, WV in the Job Corps program 2 years, Allied Forces Temporary Service and Labor Ready here in Norfolk, VA again combined 2 years as a kitchen hand and banquet worker. I served food, washed dishes, mop floors, prepared food, did food demonstration work and did whatever was asked to assist in the food service industry. I also did other genres of work as a temporary worker up until I had my 2 children, who are now 15 and 13 years old. I packed newspapers in bags for distribution, did construction clean up and I was a flagger construction worker. I also did file clerk office work for the Norfolk Community Service Board through Manpower temporary service and for Norfolk State University's Nursing Department for a year as needed. I took up Fashion Design in high school at the Norfolk Vocational Technical Center in 1991 and worked with a fellow student for about 2 years in her alteration shop as needed. I also worked at a shoe shine dry cleaner shop as a shop worker in an office building. I greeted customers, recorded the payments into books and give it to the shop owners, ran errans for the shop owners and paid some of the bills as instructed to pay. I kept the shop clean, assist with small alterations such as sewing wedding dresses together, taking off application from dresses, sewing African hats and vest, sewing on buttons, helping with window displays, displays at the flea markets or fashion shows and taking photos. I tagged customers laundry and gave it to the delivery driver or received it for the customers' at the shoe shine shop and I did shoe shines, etc. I am not a certified caregiver but have looked after children and relatives in need or as they were sick and unable to care for themselves at times. I would assist as needed some days. I helped babysit children for friends and family mostly and in my younger days as a teenager I did teacher assisting work a bit in public schools. I also was a Crossing Guard for the Norfolk City Police force for Norfolk Public Schools. I don't own a car but if you live near a bus line in the 7 cities here close to where I live in Norfolk, VA. I can get to you or within bike riding distance I can get to you, I prefer to work flexible hours from my home and check on other people's homes. Not really stay at their home as I have children to look after myself at home. I like to do arts and crafts, reading to children, writing journals, roller skating, bike ride, listening to music, sewing, and swimming but I don't swim well enough to be a lifeguard. I play childhood board games for entertainment with the people I look after. I'm not a great cook but I can make sandwiches and warm up foods as instructed. I create inventions sometimes as needed as well. My mind is always thinking of ways to solve problems.
