I am a mature, responsible, and tidy person who has just moved back to New Mexico after finishing my graduate degree in Kansas. I am starting a great new job with the state of New Mexico in mid-September 2022 and will be available for overnight house- and pet-sitting situations in Santa Fe.
I have had the pleasure of caring for the homes and pets of about 10 families in Albuquerque, NM and 6 families in Lawrence, KS over the past 14-plus years. Please see their glowing reviews on my Petsitter.com and Housesitter.com sites to see how happy they have been with my services.
I have cared for many beloved dogs, cats, aquarium fish, wild birds, and houseplants as if they were my own. In fact, just think of me as your favorite "critter nanny" because that's how your pets will think of me!
In addition to ensuring that your pets and plants are happy and healthy, I will provide that "lively" look to keep your wonderful home safer in your absence.
My reasonable rates for overnight services are available upon request.

Karen is an excellent house/pet sitter. I highly recommend her! I have known Karen for more than four years and during that time, she has provided house/dog sitting for me on many occasions. She loves animals, is very attentive to animals and provides excellent care. I know that my dog (and home) are in good care when I am gone. Karen takes care to follow all directions for feeding, walking, medications for my dog, and also for caring for my home. Karen is also very highly responsible, reliable and trustworthy. She got to know my neighbors and kept everything in good order when I was gone. I can always count on her to follow through with her time commitments. She is awesome!

If there was a professional career in pet sitting, Karen would be at the top of the field. She loves animals and is very knowledgable about them. She has years of experience as a pet owner and a volunteer for the local pet shelter. She's reliable, trustworthy and has good judgment. Also, she was the one who informed me that my cat's sudden change in temperament from an introverted people hater to the life of the party may be due to the giant catnip plant in the backyard.

It's my pleasure to recommend Karen as a home/pet sitter. Karen has been my house sitter a handful of times over the past few years. She is open and willing to work with all kinds of pets and their needs. In particular, she was helpful in care taking for two of my elderly pets during my time away. Karen won't shy away from having to administer medications and honoring complicated and detailed requests. She is kind and calm and all my creatures seemed well cared for. She's been a great resource allowing me to be away from home for long stretches of time. I am very sorry to hear Karen is leaving New Mexico.

Karen is a mature, sincere, and committed individual who takes as much attention to the details of house sitting as she does everything else. She recently took care of my place out in the country, for several days and nights. After she came over to visit, get oriented, and pick up my keys (before I left town for a long weekend), any nervousness I had (about leaving my slightly complicated house and two dogs in the care of someone else) was alleviated. She's an adult, completely trustworthy and organized, and she exudes confidence—all of which I greatly appreciate. Karen listened carefully and asked questions; took note of my preferences for the manner in which she take care of my needy, high-energy, attention-craved dogs; then sent me updates and funny stories about my dogs' silliness, and they were tired out and sleeping contentedly when I got home on Sunday night. Not only would I highly recommend Karen to anyone (for house sitting, dog care, etc.), but I hope she's available next time I need to leave town. She's the 'Real Deal!'

Karen G did amazing with my animals and looking after my house. She is very through and an absolutely wonderful to communicate with . My pups and cats were in such good hands I am not sure they even noticed I was gone! I came home to very happy animals and my house well looked after. I can not recommend her enough!

Karen took care of our two cats and our house for a month while we were out of town. She was very reliable and made sure to let us know how things were going with our pets and our house with photos. She took extra care to make sure that our pets, plants, mail and house were given needed attention. I felt very reassured and confident in her ability to take good care of our kitties and our home. I recommend her highly and plan to have her help out again. She was also very good with our dog Pepe (who we took with us). I know he would also be very happy to see her if we every have her pet sit with him.

Karen is wonderful and she is my first choice when I need someone to stay with my 13 year old cat. She spends lots of time with him as well as taking good care of my house. She notices things that need to be done, e.g. filling my bird feeders, and takes care of them. When I return my house is in perfect order and my cat is so satisfied that he barely looks up. I can't recommend her highly enough.
