Nice to meet you! My name is Michele. I'm an empty nester and I have been helping maintain and manage properties for over 25 years. I've been living in the San Juan Islands of Washington State for 15 years where I started a housecleaning and property management business. In summer I rented rooms out in my home on Airbnb where I earned "super host" designation. I oversaw several second homes for absent homeowners. My life situation has changed and I'm now in the digital nomad category. I have house sat in Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Finland. I got stuck in New Zealand in 2020 so I had to be creative. My 2 month holiday turned into 10 months! Best time of my life. I am good at thinking on my feet and "going with the flow". At one of my Mexico house sits the dog I was to take care of was struck by a car the day before I arrived. He had pins sticking out of his leg and surgical wounds I needed to dress. I took it all in stride and it wasn't a problem. I love animals and I am an active volunteer at my local animal rescue shelter.
