My name is Resa, I'm middle-aged and married, and my husband and I own our home in Somerville, Mass. I'm a full-time artist and my husband is a writer/editor. We're extraordinarily clean, responsible, trustworthy, kind, and reliable. We do a lot of cat and dog sitting in Somerville, and we'd like to expand our jobs to beautiful places throughout the U.S. and the world.
Ideally, we'd be interested in several days up to three weeks, depending on schedules and dates, and we'd be appreciative of a nice place to stay on or near the water — we choose to do house/pet sitting as a side income, so we prefer to stay in comfortable and beautiful homes where we can also feel like we're on vacation. We like to kayak (we have our own), hike, garden, etc., and we love animals! We have three cats, and we love dogs!

Resa B is the best house sitter anyone could ask for. She's house sat for us many taking A-plus care of our mature cat with dietary issues, and our cat absolutely adores her. Also, we have white marble countertops in our kitchen that scratch, stain, and etch extremely easily - so much so that we are very hesitant to let anyone, even ourselves, use our kitchen. Resa is the person we trust absolutely to be scrupulously meticulous caring for our kitchen and the rest of our fussy home. We usually leave three pages of detailed instructions for sitters, and Resa not only can be counted on to care about the smallest of details, she asks when something needs to be clarified. She responds quickly to emails and texts and is the friendliest person you'll meet. We've come home to laundered sheets and a house that's cleaner than we left it. We can't say enough good about Resa!!!

Resa Blatman and her husband Stefan Cooke work as a very good team to do house and dog sitting. They have provided us extraordinary care for our home and our 4-year-old golden retriever Emma on several occasions. They’ve always responded immediately to our requests for their services. Emma had a medical emergency while they were here, and they handled it directly and responsibly. They maintained ongoing communication with us and the vet. What’s more, they sincerely love and appreciate Emma! We consider them to be excellent house and dog sitters and recommend them wholeheartedly without reservation.
