I am a marketing consultant and graphic designer and as such can work from anywhere which is good as I love to travel! It also means I would be home most of the time with your beloved pet, working remotely. I am married to Pat who’s is Sales Executive at Dell and depending on his schedule may or may not travel and housesit with me. Our children are off to college (Boone and Wilmington) so we are now the proverbial empty nesters. I simple love animals, especially large dogs and work with a couple rescues in various roles including foster mom. I grew up on a farm that included a riding school so I really know my way around animals. I am also an outdoor enthusiast who loves to garden, hike, bike, paddle board, ski, snowshoe, etc. Although I am relatively new to Housesittng, we have been renting extensively on AirBnB/VRBO and doing Home Exchanges for the past 20 years and are very respectful and responsible guests, always treating homes as our own. My experience I grew up on a farm that included a horseback riding school so I really know my way around animals. I have had dogs all my life and work with a couple or rescue organizations in various roles including foster mom. Although I haven't personally owned any cats, I did grow up with them and have cared for several over the years. I love seeing how different they are from dogs in the cutest ways! Having owned dogs for over 30 years I know what a struggle it can be to leave them behind. There are great kennels but nothing is as good as being able to stay in the comfort and security of your own home, especially when "your people" are gone. I understand this well along with how difficult it is to find someone you can really trust so that you can truly relax and have peace of mind on your travels. I do my best to make sure your pets barely notice you've left ;-) I love the outdoors...gardening, hiking, biking, etc. Although I am new to this platform i have extensive travel and house sitting experience and have always been very responsible and respectful of the homes I stay in. * Note that on occasion my husband travels with me, when his schedule allows. Of course this would be discussed and approved of beforehand.
