I take pride in maintaining a well-cared for home and working well with exiting staff including gardeners, housekeepers and others to maintain the home to your specifications. I am detail oriented with strong organizational and management skills. Upon request, there is a possibility of attending to special home organizational projects. About Me As a Director, educator and consultant, I have provided leadership at UC Berkeley, a large bay area teaching hospital and led innovative non-profit initiatives for more than twenty-five years. In addition to a dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others, I have a deep love and engagement in cultural arts. More recently, I have served as a UN delegate and am focusing on writing, teaching and establishing a foundation. If you asked those around me, professionally and personally, they would describe me as loyal, trustworthy, fair, honest, well organized, dedicated, a strong collaborator, equanimous, responsive, caring, thoughtful, generous, kind and good humored. I am a 50-something single, non-smoking, quiet woman with no children who enjoys caring for a home. I have been a property owner for almost thirty years and served on the Home Owners Association Board of Directors. I am well acquainted with the importance of having ones home well cared for by someone responsible. As such, I will care for your home with the greatest of respect and attention. Why I Want to House Sit I am renovating my home and available to care for your home with the same care I would want in my own home. I used to feel that wonderful neighbors, a good alarm system and good organization were sufficient to secure my home while travelling. Unfortunately, while I was away there was an unexpected plumbing problem. I wish I had someone housesitting for me while I was away. As a result of the damage, I have moved out of my cherished home to renovate. The process of moving out has accelerated my interest to explore living more simply, spending more time writing and traveling and less time in meetings. At the moment, I am focusing my attention on working at Stanford University on the topic of compassion and establishing a foundation. With the exception of a good internet connection and a quiet environment, my work is largely flexible. I think I am best suited to taking care of a well-maintained secure home, ensuring personal privacy, mail and package collection, care for plants, light errands, organization projects, availability to respond to what you may need while away as a stable, honest, reliable and trustworthy personal presence.
