House Sitter in Pflugerville, Texas

Hello! My name is Rachel. I was born in Kirkland and have lived in Florida and Oregon. I moved back to the Seattle area after graduating from college in Florida in 2012. I work from home for a medical device startup company as a quality engineer. In my free time I love to read, write YA fiction, and dance. My partner, Jon, works from home as a localization specialist. He loves to play video games in his spare time and referee youth soccer games. Being 6'2" he can reach any cabinet. He is a whiz at figuring out how to open odd jars, program garage door openers, and recalling lines from Star Wars. Jon and I love new experiences. We are always trying out the new restaurants that just opened or seeing new movies every week. House sitting is another adventure we can have together. As long as we have high speed internet, we can go almost anywhere. I grew up with Golden Retrievers, Ragdoll cats, Teddy Bear hamsters, a ferret, a bunny, goats, and a hare (not all at the same time) and I miss having my own pets. Our housemate already has a large dog so we do not have any of our own pets. I absolutely love visiting cats and walking dogs in my spare time because I miss caring for and cuddling with furry creatures. Jon didn't grow up with animals, but he's always loved being around them and has joined me at some of my kitty catfe volunteering shifts. Jon and I have both lived in many different rental houses. We are great communicators and have assisted landlords in getting repairs done in the houses we've rented. I have extensive experience caring for cats and dogs. I have volunteered for the Humane Society and the Kitty Catfe (now Kitty Korner) in Edmonds. I have been active on Rover for over a year and Meowtel (specific to cat sitting) for several months. I also volunteered for the Puget Sound Goat Rescue and raised two of my own goats for 9 months.
