I’ve dog and house sat for many of my friends. The most challenging one I had was a 13 year old Great Dane who needed help getting up every time as well as going up the steps. She only trusted a few people and I was one of them, so my neighbor asked me if i’d be willing to. Her name was Kindley and sometimes when I would go behind her to help her get up she would growl and snap due to pain from her old age and it scared my sister so she wasn’t willing to even touch her. But I got past that and talked to Kindley knowing the only reason she snapped and growled was due to her letting me know it was uncomfortable. Many people would be terrified and dogs can sense that and some even become meaner. Another one of many experiences i’ve had is i dog sat, house sat as well as babysat for a friend of mine for 3 days and she had 3 dogs as well as a cat. Growing up I was raised on a farm with two horses whom i took care of, 3 pigs, many chickens, 20 bunnies that i owned, 8 hunting dogs, a house dog, and a hermit crab. Taking care of animals is something i’ve been doing for my entire life and i love them so much.
