House Sitter in Vancouver, British Columbia

We're Bonny and Max, a Canadian couple that housesits full time. We've got lots of experience with dogs, cats and home care, and can provide references. We're quiet, loving, writers that work from home, always staying with your pet(s) and/or home overnight. We're prefer long term housesits of more than a month, but are flexible. We also travel full time - so while Vancouver / the West Coast is our home base, we're happy to housesit across BC, Alberta, Washington State and California. Bonny has used two other housesitting sites and Craigslist, plus word of mouth, and has housesat non-stop since 2014 in Canada, the US, the Bahamas, Panama and Western Europe. Max has taken care of properties in Canada, Asia and Panama. Otherwise, the lovely folks we've housesat for would get weekly, or bi-weekly calls! It's just too much to ask, especially in remote, rural areas and countries where WiFi and cell service are extremely limited or expensive. Our skills are varied and comprehensive: - Bonny has been self-employed for over 20 years as (primarily) a writer and workshop presenter. - Max is a former Arborist, Landscaper, and Maitre d'Hotel. - We met while volunteering and living in a hostel, and have lived and traveled together ever since. - We both grew up with dogs. Animals LOVE Max to the point of following him home (including a squirrel), and Bonny has trained various dogs she's housesat for. - Bonny used to compete in first aid, has wilderness first aid training, and worked both at a campsite and an ashram. - We're both extremely clean, tidy and focused, preferring to leave any home we housesit in better than when we arrived (where possible). Both of us speak English and French, while Max speaks basic Spanish and Bonny understands a handful of languages (Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Flemish, and a few others).
