I am a hard-working individual, with a willingness to learn and adapt. My love for animals led me to 7 yrs of managing The Fish Bowl Pet Express, where I was responsible for a range of animals from common (cats, dogs, hamsters) to exotic (macaws, snakes, monkeys, wallabies). I earn trust quickly by being patient, attentive, and respectful in my approach with animals. At The Fish Bowl, I took in a 35 yr old macaw that had never let anyone touch her until she met me. She has a family now, and still gets excited to see me when I visit. The Fish Bowl closed down after a family tragedy, while I was on maternity leave, and I have missed it every single day! I stay busy with my son and two dogs, but I’m used to a store full of screaming monkeys-so I gladly welcome more responsibility!
