Overview: Nice to meet you! After a 3 decade career as a human resources executive, part-time adjunct professor and an active volunteer on the BOD's of two non-profits, I bring a successful track record of success that's enabled me to excel in most environments. After spending the past 5 years managing the needs (and the estate) of a mother with Alzheimer's and a father with Parkinson's, I'm looking to start a new chapter following their passing. I live in San Diego (North Park) and I am searching for a caretaker position in the area. Having taken on various endeavors throughout my life, I bring innate traits in honesty, integrity and passion, as well as educational accomplishments that include a double Bachelor's degree and two advanced degrees. I'm short, I'm a committed, loyal, responsible and capable individual who brings a natural charisma and positive can-do attitude to all projects. I'm also a hardworking skillful professional with a flexible schedule for clients. Personal: I was born/raised in the Midwest, the eldest of seven kids from a large Irish Catholic family and, thus, two of my first responsibilities were that of big brother, counselor/mentor, Alter Boy and full-time baby sitter. I was fortunate enough to have a great education and a fulfilling and rewarding career after which I went on to take on the role of care-giver for my parents in their final years. However, I moved back to San Diego following my parents passing and I'm enthused to begin a new chapter in my life. Description of Skills: I'm capable of taking care of pool maintenance, pet and animal care, and light landscaping. I also a bit of a neat freak always cleaning as I go no matter the endeavor. While house sitting, as a career, is new the new chapter I seek, my previous experience in managing the various needs of home derive from having owned a large historic house for 10 years and from having house sat for friends and family over the years during my travels.
