House Sitter in Burnsville, Minnesota

Hello , I am a 56 year old farmer , longtime woofer and woof host. I have worked seasonally all of my life, moving from wilderness positions to city positions in fall and winter. I have worked as an assistant kayak guide, a community garden coordinator, a youth and women's shelter worker and mental health drop in centre coordinator. I have been a trails worker, deckhand, tradie and farmer. Suffice to say, I have tried to stay outdoors, working physically, hands in the earth. I am also a trades apprentice in my second year. As a house pet and plant sitter, I am considerate, chatty, attentive and playful. I introduce myself and create instant warmth around me. I am very respectful of every animals' needs and personalities. I love walks, cleaning stalls, going the extra mile to make sure animals in my care have the freshest water, warmth, attention and exercise. I am returning to Burnsville, MN in late January 2024 to live with my folks. They are in their 80s and I am their caregiver. I usually find work out of the home, and this year, I am looking at full and part time work opportunities with some flexibility. My intention is also to find housing other than my parents 2 bedroom apt for respite and downtime for myself,..ideally a small hobby farm, somewhere i could go for the weekend, say, work a couple of hours on the farm for my stay? I have my own truck, handtools, and I am capable at building, wood cutting, painting, other household repairs. I am humourous, kind, respectful, peaceable and energetic.
