House Sitter in Delray Beach, Florida

Good morning New Jersey! My name is Cheryl Atherley, a born and raised native Floridian from Boynton Beach, about 5 -8 minutes from Delray Beach. I am 49 years old, own my own home off Hypoluxo Road and in between careers right now. My family owned the Anchor Inn Seafood Restaurant in town here for 30 years but sold in 2004. From there, I was a General Manager for the Ritz-Carlton for a year until they closed for a major Spa renovation. I then went to The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach where I worked as a General Manager at the Seafood Bar and Ocean Grill for 9 years. In 2012, a growth opportunity came along to work for the Shula Family ( Don Shula) and opened up their first franchise in Delray called Shula Burger. I worked for the Shula family in Delray for three plus years which then led to an opportunity to be a partner in a local restaurant. In 2016, I became a 20% owner at Lantana Jack's Bar and Grill where I put in some major blood, sweat and tears to get the building interior to look like a restaurant again...painting, plants, menus, lighting, nautical décor, etc. We had a grand re-opening in September of 2016 and the results were amazing until...December 18th, the restaurant caught on fire from a Microwave oven that exploded in the middle of the night- a total loss. The landlord closed the restaurant down and our lease was terminated. Since January of 2017, I have been taking the time off to reflect and spend some quality time home with my 13 year old white lab and doing some of my own home repairs and remodeling! I am wide open available and would enjoy the opportunity to assist you and your family at your villa in Delray.
