Hello, nice to meet you.
We are great house sitters. We would be very happy to take care of your plants, mother your cat or dog.
We are a quiet, friendly couple, clean, tidy. We will arrive mid October 2021 in Manhattan and will stay for 12 months.
About us: I grew up with garden, nature in Switzerland and have a green thumb inherited from my parents. I grew up in dog and cat. My husband is from Geneva and loves cats. We are looking for a house sitting opportunity in Manhattan starting mid October 2021. I have a small grant from the Swiss government for my PhD research in NYC. I feel so very lucky to have met Dorothee and Fred, who catsat/housesat for me in November/December 2019 when I left for a fellowship. They were the most reliable, kind, and warm people I've ever met. They stayed in my apartment in Astoria for about a month and left my house in impeccable condition - honestly better than I had left it for them. The care that they showed my cat was evident; and they regularly sent me photos and updates to put my mind at ease. I came back to an extremely happy pet.
Every time I've since gone away and had someone else come, I'm reminded of how extraordinary their care was. Anyone would be extremely lucky to have this thoughtful, engaging, clean, and reliable couple caring for their home.
