House Sitter in Tucson, Arizona

I'm an
Individual
I am 47 years old, mature and responsible, non-smoker, adventurous and a quick learner. I love dogs, cats, and all animals and I can learn to take care of birds, fish, and other pets with your instruction. I have no allergies and grew up on a cattle farm with a dog, so animals have always been a part of my life and I miss having a pet. It wasn't practical to have one the past few years because I travel so much. I am pretty good with technology and am excellent at communicating with the homeowner. If you want specific types of updates about your property, I can provide those. While I don't have much experience with pool maintenance, I can learn. Cleanliness and neatness are important to me no matter where I live and I respect other people's property and belongings as if they were my own. After renting my own home on Airbnb and experiencing people who don't respect my property, I fully understand how important it is to take care of a home and yard, even if it isn't my own! I am experienced! My first house sitting job was a ranch house on 9 acres in Tucson, Arizona where I also own a home that rent out on Airbnb. I lived in the ranch house for 8 months while taking care of the house, which was for sale. I was responsible for watering the grounds, occasionally feeding two cows (someone else actually fed the cows twice a day most of the time), and keeping the house "show-ready" at all times in case the real estate agent brought someone to see it. My second house sitting job was a 2 bedroom townhouse that I lived in for one year while my friend went to teach in Korea. She had a lot of plants (still does because I didn't any!) and an 11 year old cat named Percy, who my dog loved, but she didn't really love him. She tolerated him. I kept her house clean, took care of Percy, watered the plants, and paid her bills for the year she was away. My third house sitting assignment was a 1912 house in Tucson that belonged to my friend who also taught in Korea. I lived there for 8 months, and she was actually there for three of those months. No pets except my dog in this house, but I was responsible for keeping the house clean, weeding and watering the yard, and picking pomegranates so they didn't weigh down the tree. I am back in Tucson after 11 years living overseas, so I am available at all times of day for housesitting jobs in the area. If you are interested, you can call me at 520 222 ... or email me at [email protected]. I currently do not have voicemail, but will respond ASAP to a call, text, or email.

Mary Lyons has house-sat for me at two different times. The first time was in 2004-05 when I worked overseas in Seoul, Korea, and the second time was during the summer of 2013. Besides taking care of my condo, Mary also watered plants inside and outside of the house. I also had a cat at both times that Mary provided care. Whenever Mary house sits for me, my house looks better after I return. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her in maintenance/upkeep of the property and if there are questions, she contacts me immediately. Also, Mary is a minimalist in what she brings to the house so she does not demand a lot of closet or drawer space for her personal items. Mary is much better prepared than most house-sitters in that she brings a personal knowledge and experience of house reconstruction. In other words, she is much better attuned to how things should work and more aware of when they don't, i.e., water continuously running in the toilet when it should not be running. Mary definitely has basic house common sense that is important if you are leaving your property for any amount of time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through my email.
