I have watched many a house. I have done the minimum from checked on the dogs and their food. I have stayed over night and done light chores. I have fed a lizard. I've done most of it. I am capable, trustworthy and have references. You'll never know I was there, except that your mail will be picked up, if needed, pets will be fed and plants will not be dead. :)
