House Sitter in Henderson, Nevada

My name is Michael Husbands, DDS. I was born near Los Angeles California in Inglewood because my father was a LA fireman. Historically, we have 5 generations of fireman in our family, including me as a “paid-call” fireman while in dental school. I am a 66 years young retired dental health care provider (31 years) from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. I'm looking to travel and gain some new experiences. Not too long ago I sat for a couple traveling out of the country in India, so I can provide references. I love to travel and I am looking for a house and/or pet sitter position in Nevada; Henderson/Las Vegas. Besides, earning a little extra cash, helping out others, enjoying new area’s and making new friends is not so bad either! I love animals and growing up we had Boxers, Weimaraners, and Dobermans (which I delivered the puppies), standard as well as miniature Poodles, Myna birds, Siamese cats and more. I exercised them, gave them supplements and pills if need be (try pushing a pill down a Doberman’s throat!!!!), played with them, fed them, cleaned them up and did some elementary training. I usually do house sitting with my wife, Andreini, because not only is she awesome, but she always leaves a house better than she found it. Somehow she learned cleaning techniques, organization, and generally managing a household from an early age. She also has a Master’s of Science in Instructional Technology and works from home. She occasionally sings with her family who had a career in music, when they were teenagers, in the mid 70's and were inspired by famous relatives in the music business. They traveled with USO (United Service Organization) on the Bob Hope and Pearl Bailey circuits to entertain and lift the morale of our military troops all over the world. These were considered hardship tours because they took on the same grueling schedule as the military much like the movie with Robin Williams who would stop in the middle of a clearing and entertain remote troops stationed on top of a mountain. One of my passions is health and fitness and I am constantly doing research. I have never smoked nor drank. I walk 5 miles a day. Also, I eat primarily a plant based diet, however, I occasionally eat some fish and meat. My eating lifestyle is a combination of being Alkaline and Keto adapted. Spiritual health is important to me; I am a Baha’i of the Baha’i Faith, the newest of the independent world religions on the scene since 1844 and I believe all religions are divinely inspired from the same Source. I believe in one human family that was created out of love by one loving Creator. I am very involved with Interfaith in my community where all faiths are welcomed and get together to celebrate this oneness through mutual love, friendship, fellowship, collaboration, and service to the wider community it fosters.
