I've dog and house sat for friends in Georgia while they were on various vacations. I've done the same for friends in Jacksonville while they were on cruises. I'm used to and love having lists of things that need to be done, like watering plants and other chores, as well as instructions for taking care of the animals. I have a biology degree and worked in a vet clinic for three years. If there are fur babies, then I would treat them as my own. I love pets. My schedule is somewhat flexible. If I know I need days off for you in advance, I can ask for those days off on my next schedule fairly easily.
