House Sitter in Seattle, Washington
I’m a 50-something former homeowner who now rents and loves to travel. As I can’t have my own pets, let me dote on yours! I enjoy dogs and can normally walk them on your schedule. I have milked goats, and cared for chickens and rabbits, tropical fish and finches. I love cats and will spend hours, happily curled up with them on my lap. I have 1 million house plants of my own. Ok, maybe it’s not a million, but I have several dozen, so am good at caring for those. I have also had veggie gardens and fruit trees at both of my houses, so understand the importance of watering schedules. I am excellent at following prescribed schedules for feedings, walks, and meds. I have experience giving pills to cats and dogs and unless the animal is unusually feisty, it’s not a traumatic experience for either of us. I live on Lake Union: I’m open to traveling for a house-sitting gig but if you live in the Seattle area, I could be a commuting sitter or a live-in. If you live farther out or if the stay is lengthy, I may want to stay at your house to avoid the drive. This can be part of our negotiation.
