House Sitter in Riverside, California

Hello, my name is Patricia (but prefer to be called Patty). I am an experienced child sitter, have worked in caring for the elderly, and also a big dog lover. I am fluent in Spanish, can read, write, and speak both English and Spanish, VERY well. I am one (but the oldest) of 4 girls, so I have A-LOT of experience with raising kids. I have taken a CPR course, and am familiar with how to implement the steps in an emergency situation, and also taken a class in immediate first aid care. I am also knowledgeable of basic illnesses, but most familiar with asthma (ESPECIALLY with "severe, uncontrollable asthma") and know what most of the common, or general triggers are, and how to avoid them. I have taken self-defense classes, because as a mother, my number one commitment to my daughter is to protect her to the best of my capabilities, in the event of an emergency situation where defending my child (or yours!) is necessary. Lets face it, it's a scary world out there! I am familiar with the 'doggy' Heimlich maneuver, and have actually even used it once, to save a dog's life (amazingly, it works really, really well!). I absolutely believe dogs are important furry members of our families, and I am patient enough to potty train, along with a few other basic tricks, such as saying "I love you", 'sit', 'stay', 'high-5', 'drop it' and several others. I am able to do lifting, basic house cleaning/maintenance, I am a GREAT cook, and also a stern, but fun(!) babysitter. If you don't raise your children to be respectful, or teach them manners, then I may not be the right fit for your family. I believe it is our duty as parents, to raise GOOD, honest and respectful children, before we leave the world in their hands. I am not afraid to be stern, but in the same breathe, am also a great example of what being a good parent is all about. That goes the same for our 4 legged 'fur-babies'! I am resourceful, and creative, so time for (or with) me, is NEVER boring! I enjoy being outdoors, and staying active. I am also self-taught with most basic hand, electric and gas and powered tools (including yard tools). Being self- taught is something I am pretty proud of, as I've been given lots of opportunities to learn, particularly in the care of already-established gardens and yard maintenance, since I've learned the best way for one to learn.. With LIFE experiences. I've faced conflict-resolution situations, so my skills have taught me to depend on myself in getting any tasks at hand, accomplished successfully. But all of this doesn't really matter, if I can't make an impression on those around me, so I have always tried to live my life setting the best examples that I possibly can. I am very respected and trusted among my peers, and those who know me. I am a great listener, who doesn't mind giving great advice (as requested!).
