House Sitter in Los Angeles, California

I have been living in California for almost three years now, having grown up in Michigan and lived in Nashville, Tennessee for two years. I am a full-time Librarian, but with the high cost of living in California I am looking for another way of supplementing my income. I have worked as a house sitter for a number of my coworkers and have been entrusted in caring for plants, pets (cats and dogs), gathering mail, light cleaning, taking out the garbage, and generally just making sure the house is secure. I live in Cerritos and work in Monterey Park and with a new, fuel efficient vehicle, I have no problem with commuting. In fact, I am quite used to it.
