House Sitter in Chicago, Illinois

I'm originally a midwest girl from St. Louis. I will be in Northfield(Chicago area) for September and October and would love to extend my stay in the area so I'm interested in longer-term jobs that don't start until the first week of November or later. I have owned and lived in multiple homes including one with an inground pool. I'm handy and pay great attention to detail. I have always been a pet 'owner'....at one time I've had a turtle, a snake, gerbils, mice, parakeets, and dogs from dachshunds to Great Danes. Many moons ago I also volunteered at a wildlife rescue center. I am an Advanced Master Gardener, with a great love of plants, indoors and out. I am a digital nomad/designer with the Midwest as my current base. I travel and housesit with my little 10 yo 10# dachshund. She is like a little emotional support dog for people and animals alike. She gets along with everyone. We've sat with everything from a somewhat ferral cat and a senior cat with dementia, one dog to multiple dogs, and multiple size dogs and cats together. We just finished a two month sit in Pittsburgh with 2 cats and two chihuahuas. As a digital nomad I can work anywhere there is good WI-FI. When I'm not house sitting, I am often visiting friends, attending workshops, or just exploring new places and meeting new people and wonderful animals. I LOVE house and pet sitting because it fulfills my need to take care of things, and I also get to experience new places while connecting with great people and pets. I am ideally interested in long-term, 1 month or more stays as I like to spend time getting to know an area. When I find the next area I love I may even settle down again :) How can I be of help??
