Hello my name is Betty. I am looking for odd jobs and honest work to keep busy while I seek permanent or contract assignments. I have a Master’s degree in Organizational Dynamics and a Bachler’s in Business Administration. Why am I applying for housesitter positions? I am unemployed and have been actively looking for the past 6 months but to no avail. Today, employers us the internet for employment applications and resume software to select candidates. Unfortunately 1000’s of resumes are submitted for practically every listing, making this task extremely time consuming. When you need to fill a position asap what do you do? Employee referrals! Recruiters interview referrals from coworkers they can trust. Thus, we are at the age of Networking as key to landing a job. In other words, it’s “who you know” rather than “what you know” just to get an interview. I have many years of experience running a department, office as well as my own home. I am attentive to the daily activities and create systems to keep smooth flowing operations. My work experience easily transfer to housesitting a personal driver and assistant. I have the ability to look and listen for any potential problems while performing tasks assigned as instructed by the homeowners. A call or brief note to me will produce a quick response.
