House Sitter in Austin, Texas

We are Ronda and Nate, a musician couple who are looking to travel our way through life. Both of us are responsible and professional adults who are in between contracts working on cruise ships. Nate is a department manager for music who plays saxophone and Ronda is a band leader for string ensembles who plays violin. We look forward to meeting and sitting for interesting people around the world. Why we want to house sit Currently we are looking for house sits which allow us the flexibility of reconnecting with our many friends around the US that we have met through our careers in music. We love to travel, meet new people, and see new places. We also love animals and, since we don't have any of our own, we love doting on others pets. House sitting gives us the opportunity to experience different house styles and neighborhoods and is the ultimate teaching resource to help us learn where we want to make our future home, and what kind of home we want to build for ourselves. As world travelers by nature, we find that house sitting gives us the unique ability to take a small look into the variety of ways that people choose to live their lives, and doing so helps us learn more about ourselves and each other, and how we want to live our lives together. Our experience We've had the privilege of housesitting across the USA. We have recently finished a house sit near Austin, TX where we were able to care for an elderly dog and bubbly cat for two months, care for the pool, water the plants, mow the yard on a weekly basis, and otherwise maintain the property. A favorite sit of Ronda's was near College Station TX at a BnB where she took care of a small farm, including show ducks, show dogs and a koi pond. Recently we loved staying out in central CA on a horse farm and becoming best of friends with the owner who entrusted us with the care of her home, her dog, 4 cats, and 8 horses.
