I am currently taking the year off of school to further my experiential knowledge. In 2015 I did a year of biology at Trinity Western University. I am currently working full time at Evolution Furniture Galleries, as a sales and design consultant working with professional sales staff and furthering my customer service knowledge. I have decided to take the year off to further my experiential knowledge and to maintain savings before I return to school to pursue a bachelor of science degree for nursing. My chosen career of being a nurse was decided by my passion for health sciences, in particular anatomy and my desire to help people. Partaking in sales has developed me interaction skills, and my office work experience. My previous extended employment position was at McDonald’s Number 3 Road, Richmond BC as a crew trainer. My employers described me as a prime employee who sets great examples for others by managing school and maintaining an excellent work ethic. Previous educators describe me as a friendly, committed, and an enthusiastic student, who accepts responsibility for her learning I enjoy and work well individually and collaboratively with others. I offer critical thinking and problem solving skills and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. I have an inquisitive learning attitude, with attributes of being compassionate, respectful, ethical and patient. Qualities that I offer prove I have a sincere dedication to my learning with a positive attitude and the ability to set examples to my peers. I would accept the responsibility of my work and invest time and effort for above average grades. Being a student you have the opportunity to learn from other careers and expand on your own knowledge base, while sharpening your interpersonal skills. Working side- by-side with professionals, in a fast-paced environment where my education will be enhanced by learning each day, is an exciting and gratifying career prospect. These attributes are all goals I wish to achieve and expand on as I further on my studies and employment opportunities.
