House Sitter in Tacoma, Washington

My wife and I are both retired and have enjoyed housesitting for the past four years. We live in Tacoma, Washington and have housesat as far away as Arizona, California, Idaho and several in Washington State. My wife Marily is a retired school bus driver for a local district. She drove school bus for 28 years for the same district until her retirement. I, Ralph (Butch) worked as security for the Port of Tacoma for 10 years before I retired. I have driven tractor/trailer, been a tour guide in Seattle and spent 10 years in the US Army as a Military Policeman. In our jobs we both have passed many state and federal background checks. We have lived in a 130 year old victorian house in Tacoma for the past 27 years and one of our hobbies has been an attempt to restore the original beauty of the home. We have two small dogs, one a papillon we call Poppy. Of course he thinks that he owns the house. Our other dog is a lhasa mix we call Chompy who could care less who owns the house as long as he can lay around all day. My son lives with us and takes care of Poppy and Chompy when we travel. We have housesat for the past 4 years and have enjoyed the variety of sits and all of the wonderful people that we have met. We have watched cats, dogs and even a parrot. Our main concerns when we sit are for the comfort and security of both the pets and the houses that we sit. We always look forward to our next sit.
