17 August 2022 Re: Arthur Aumont To whom it may concern, Arthur Aumont has had a rental on my Ojai property since 2016. He has proved to be a delightful, reliable and trustworthy tenant, willing to engage with practical problems as they occur. He has, with my permission, introduced bees, chickens and tortoises to the property, creating habitats or housing for them that are appropriate and tastefully designed and planted (he is good with and loves animals - dogs, horses, cats included). I rely on him to oversee and ensure the smooth running of an extensive watering system, rodent control, swimming pool maintenance, vehicle servicing and trouble shooting, fire clearance, tree trimming and yard work, and any upkeep needed inside the buildings. I live in the UK, spending a few months of the year in California: it is therefore incredibly valuable to me to know I have someone living on the property that I can completely rely on. When the 2017 fire came through, Arthur was putting out spot fires and cleaning up for days afterwards. Indeed, he may well have saved the houses and garage from burning and for that I will always be grateful. When the pandemic hit, he was always willing to pick up groceries and other necessities from the store for me, and was cheering and charming company to have around for outdoor, distanced conversations when isolation from friends and family was the requirement.
