Denise and her husband, Jason have been in private estate and ranch management for seven years. Currently responsible for 450 acres in Navasota, Texas.Denise and Jason are an active, health conscious couple who enjoy most outdoor adventures and communing with nature. We practice yoga, meditation and self care. Denise loves animals, gardening, cooking, reading, knitting, hiking, biking, and swimming/floating. Jason is a lover of books and music and has played guitar for 38 years. He also enjoys spending time with Jack, our beloved mix breed (pit bull/lab) dog. He is an accomplished martial artist, gardener, and enjoys learning new things. They are empty nesters with three adorable grandchildren. Currently residing in central Texas, they manage a 450 acre private estate which includes multiple homes, approximately 12,000 sq. feet, vehicles, barns, outbuildings, pool, lake and animals. Denise and Jason are all inclusive, open minded and embrace all lifestyles and cultures. Animal, plant, pool and home. Our term at our present location is coming to an end in the coming year. We are open to discuss options and are planning a move to the Texas Hill Country in early 2023. Denise and Jason currently manage and reside on a 450 acre private estate. They have been employed at this lovely estate for 7 years. The owners live off property and visit on occasional weekends. Topography is rolling hills, sandy loam, with a mix of hardwoods and pines. The property is a park like setting with 15 plus miles of maintained trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. There is also a 6 acre stocked lake for fishing and swimming and a smaller tank stocked with catfish. Denise and Jason are responsible for upkeep and maintenance on approximately 12,000 sq. feet of living space. These include a stunning main house, guest house, luxury tiny house, a barn apartment, gate house in which they reside and the newest facility, a large two bedroom apartment which sits on top of a full commercial kitchen. The property has a swimming pool/hot tub which they maintain. A tennis and basketball court, landscaping, raised vegetable and herb gardens, houseplants, irrigation system, numerous outbuildings, barns, workshops and recreational vehicles. There are two ranch use vehicles that they are responsible for basic care, registration and tire maintenance. Denise and Jason have implemented a recycling and composting program and are always looking for ways to reduce the ranch's carbon footprint. Denise and Jason have experience with wells, pumps, septic systems, composting, composting toilets, tractors and implements, irrigation systems, video surveillance and alarm systems. Pool and hot tub maintenance. Scheduling of house keepers and contractors. Project management. Wildflower management. Texas Master Gardners. Texas natives, succulents and cactus. Denise cannot remember a time in her life that did not include a menagerie of animals. From Great Danes to mini Dachshunds. She has had both pure breeds, mixed breeds and rescue dogs and cats. At the age of 3 her parents acquired a double headed amazon parrot who was part of her life for forty years. She has cared for parakeets and cockatiels, chickens, both layers and broilers. She received her first horse at 17 and to date has had 15 horses and 36 years equine experience. Denise has raised goats, a pot bellied pig and sheep and hogs as FFA projects in high school. Denise has owned ball pythons, bearded dragons along with guinea pigs and hamsters. Jason's animal experience includes dogs, cats and since being married to Denise he has 14 years equine experience. We have worked with numerous types of animal caregivers including veterinarians, chiropractors, massage therapists, nutritionist, and animal physics. We have extensive knowledge of electric fencing and stimulus training collars. Currently at the ranch Denise and Jason care for 3 horses (1 arab 2 walkers), 21 chickens, 2 dogs, Suki and Jack, and 2 cats, Minxie and Juno. They also keep up with filling deer feeders for the wildlife, birdfeeders and hummingbird feeders. Life is full when it is filled with the love of animals!! Jason has attended fire training school. Both are trained in CPR adult and child/infant and first aid.
