Previously, I was an Executive Assistant for 25 years and am now a stay at home wife looking for part-time work. My previous experiences also included elderly care full/part-time for 7 years. I helped a family member with her father's care at her home for 6 years --...). Her father had Alzheimer's and I was not working for a year and was able to be at her house almost every day. Once I started working, I made myself available whenever needed, sometimes evenings or weekends. I gladly was her respite when she needed time off on weekends and whenever she needed to take a vacation; I was part of her care team. Her father couldn't communicate but felt and understood my cheerful and compassionate disposition. Among the many tasks I performed were his personal hygiene, toileting, changing beds, dressing, and food preparation, feeding, and taking his vitals. I would check his blood pressure, test his sugar level, administer his insulin and give medications. I was his companion, made him laugh, and redirected him when he became aggressive to avoid confrontations. Also, intermittently over many years, I worked in the capacity of side work as a house cleaner working for myself. More recently I had obtained 4 clients to clean their homes which allowed to supplement my main source of income for a year. After reviewing my application, I hope that though I don't possess professional credentials, that I be considered as a candidate based on my brief description of work history, my work ethic and potentially come to know my reliability and trustworthiness as I believe I would be a good fit for any house-sitter service requirements.
