House Sitter in Berkeley, California

I am a mid-aged Pilates instructor relocating to Berkeley California. I am house hunting and have enjoyed getting to know various neighborhoods in Berkeley, Kensington, Montclair and other areas around the East Bay through house sitting and temporary housing. House sitting has been a wonderful opportunity to define where and with whom I wish to find a permanent home. Although I have been teaching in the East Bay since 2013 and have a great client base, I only recently decided to move here from San Francisco. It is expensive to live here so I am assuming that it will take a long time to find permanent residence. In the meantime, I have discovered house sitting and I am interested in finding a live-in, house-sitting position(s) from September through December or longer if that is an option. Shorter sits are welcome. I can't imagine asking for compensation but if the house sitting requires more than 40 hrs a month of my time, (not including pet time), I guess that might be a reasonable discussion. I am currently house sitting in the Elmswood area of Berkeley with another position in Montclair in August. My background includes IT project management, media production and currently, I teach pilates, mostly rehabilitation and body alignment/integration to individuals who have chronic pain and who have been referred by a chiropractor, osteopathic doctor, or other health practitioner. I am 56, female, non-smoking, pet-less, and extremely neat. I work about 25 and 45 hrs a week and have time to take care of your home, property and pets.
