Hi! I'm Elijah - a young professional working in the wildlife field and new to Portland from the Green Mountains of Vermont. I'm active, energetic, reliable, and responsible - looking to watch over your home, pets, plants, or weird glass animal collections. I won't judge you, promise. I'm a big fan of pet-watching (especially dogs) but, here's the sad part, work from ~ 7-5 Mon thru Thursday so, unless your dog is somehow okay at home for 10 hour periods or you have a day walker, dog watching may not work. I'm an avid goldfish feeder, mail collector, garden waterer and can even keep you caught up on the yard work! Also, if you need firewood split, I'll throw that in as a bonus because I miss it. I'm looking for longer gigs - much prefer a week plus at a time, but can do any duration. As far as rates go, that varies based on what your looking for in terms of pet/plant/glass menagerie care, and duration. Discounts for longer gigs and hot tubs. Buuuut, ballpark $20 a night. Bottom line - I'm dependable, not a flaky teenager, and wont worry your neighbors. When you're away you don't want to be thinking about whats going on at the house every 15 seconds - so give me a shout and keep your peace of mind. References available. Yes ,they're all in Vermont but most of them are state workers and you can look them up online and verify that they're real people.
