House Sitter in Wiscasset, Maine

I am currently considering moving to Maine for a summer job and potentially year-round and would love to piece together some housesitting that is beneficial for both of us! Below find a bit about me and please let me know if you have any questions! I have great references on Trustedhousesitters..... that I would love to share as well, so please don't hesitate to ask! About 3 years ago I took the giant leap to sell my things in Chicago and head full force into world wandering. I started with a year in Japan teaching English and have spent the last year and a half housesitting and doing work exchanges throughout China, SE Asia, Australia, Oregon, Canada, and now Mexico. I don't value the sightseeing spots nearly as much as I do the interactions and connections with people and find that traveling slowly and staying put really afford me those opportunities. I have many years of experience as a nanny and teacher which speak volumes about the level of trust people have in me. Being the oldest child in my family seems to have made me so responsible and introverted that I really find housesitting a great fit allowing me to explore, as well as give others a peace of mind while they are doing the same. AND of course, there's the bonus of cooking in a real kitchen, sitting on a comfy couch, doing puzzles and having a 4 legged friend to talk to. I have had 2 month long positions in Laos and Australia, and 5 days in Singapore, along with many opportunties here in Chicago and in Boston and have really appreciated the sense of normalcy and responsibility that comes along with taking care of someone's home/pets while they're away.
