A little about me and my experience...
I am a fifty-six-year-old, former software engineer who is now trying to make a career out of writing children's books. My first book was published in 2017 and I am currently working on the follow-up.
As you might imagine, a budding career in writing does not exactly pay the same as a former software career, which is why I do homesitting. I also teach ESL (English as a Second Language).
In addition, I sing in an award-winning peninsula choir and founded a music outreach program for kids in after-school programs and seniors with memory impairments. I also do a lot of volunteer work with programs that serve kids with serious health issues. It is these kids who inspired my books.
I am available most of the year except late October.
