Kevin-John is a nationally recognized artist and an officially licensed Disney Master Artist, known for his fine art and creative storytelling. Buffy is a nurturing soul with a gift for making people and animals feel at ease. We are in our mid-50s, have no children, and live a calm, intentional life. While Kevin-John is an artist by trade, his creative work is clean, organized, and fully contained. We’re looking for peaceful, respectful house-sitting opportunities—whether short- or long-term—in the North Carolina area and beyond. We love animals, quiet routines, and being of service. Over the years, we’ve lived in beach houses on both coasts, tucked-away mountain homes, rural retreats, and even urban apartments—and we bring the same care and intention to every space we occupy. Kevin-John is currently serving an artist residency in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Our goal during this time is to stay rooted locally without setting up a permanent residence, and house sitting offers a beautiful, mutually beneficial solution. When pets or plants are involved, we consider it a privilege to care for them. Between us, we’ve had years of experience with cats, dogs, birds, and even reptiles. We enjoy the connection that comes from spending time with animals, and we understand that pets thrive when they feel safe, calm, and loved. We’re patient, attentive, and always ready to give them the time and kindness they deserve.  Experience While we are new to house-sitting through this official platform, we are not new to the responsibilities that come with caring for a home. We’ve both owned and rented homes over the years and have also looked after friends’ properties—including vacation homes—when they’ve been away. As a couple in our 50s, we’re steady, reliable, and very capable when it comes to maintaining both the interior and exterior of a property. We’re clean, respectful, and attentive to the details that keep a home running smoothly. Kevin-John also has experience with light home maintenance and is more than comfortable tending to simple issues that may arise during a stay. For longer-term assignments (90 days), we’re happy to leave behind an original painting inspired by your home or the surrounding area—a heartfelt thank-you for the space and peace you’ve shared with us.
