Hi. I'm Anna. I'm a single mama of a beautifully, talented 19 year old daughter. And, mama to an adorable, white, fluffy, fur baby Coton de Tulear. I own a private, high end, in-home daycare and I teach private art classes. Some things about me...Turquoise waters brighten my soul. Tea connoisseur. Rustic baker, urban homesteader. Adventurer. Love travel, and to meet and host new people. A quiet poet. Waxer of warm nostalgia, I embrace tonal color. Spending time with my daughter is my favorite past-time. Especially if we are on the water kayaking or paddle boarding together. I/we would love the opportunity to house sit or pet sit for you. I/we are both extremely organized, clean, and love to cook. I enjoy beaches, gardening, interior decorating, mid-century design, yoga, and quietly relaxing. I/we have traveled the US extensively. We have also traveled abroad a few places together. I have stayed at various Air Bnb's all over the US and abroad. And I have welcomed and hosted several exchange families and students into my home. You will find me to be an ambivert. Extroverted, but someone who loves genuine conversation. Also introverted, someone who loves quiet and solitude. I am known for my natural organizational skills, attention to detail, care of my home, skill in remodeling, being a responsible homeowner, and a hard-worker. I think of myself as a kind human, empathetic and a giver. I enjoy helping others and being a present and attentive neighbor. From middle school-high school, I volunteered at the local zoo. I was hands on with the care of many animals. In college, I worked at different horse farms and owned 2 horses of my own. I've had a pet of some kind for as long as I can remember. I have passed my passion and love of animals down to my daughter. Presently, she house sits, pet sits, and gardens for others throughout the year. She also teaches music lessons and is quite the entrepreneur. You will appreciate my/our cleanliness, attention to detail, and responsible characters. You will not have to worry about your pets or your home while you are away if I/we stay in your residence. I/we are non-smokers, and not drinkers, and are not partiers. I love to travel and meet new people. Running a daycare is a lot of work. I rarely take holidays or time off as parents do not get a lot of time or holidays off. When I do have some off, I like to try and maximize my free time by traveling. I/we live in a small, rural town boasting with many ample opportunities for community involvement. We have many local farms and markets, with an abundance of outdoor activities. I/We appreciate our little community and enjoy spending time at home, but I/we also love to travel. Since Covid, our opportunities to travel have been few. And I/we still error on the side of caution when we do travel. That said, I think house sitting/pet sitting is the perfect way to participate in an exchange opportunity that gives you the home/pet owner confidence that your needs and your pet's needs will be provided, over and above your expectations. And, it allows myself and/myself and my daughter the opportunity to experience a new place in a safe, home environment. I/we are looking for a summer 1-2 week stay for sometime in June-July of 2023 and for 1 week in January of 2024.
