In 2005 I was certified through Petsmart as a Professional pet stylist (aka...dog groomer) I have 3 horses and 5 dogs, but have owned just about every kind of animal known to man at some point or another. I used to show poultry at the az. state fair, I have had geckos, water dragons, horses, fish, frogs, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats dogs, cats, snakes, chickens, ducks, and so on. I feel naturally comfortable around animals, and am confident in my personal judgement of an animals body language or behavior. I have been grooming dogs for 10 yrs, and never been bitten...(knock on wood) I believe animals are just as equal as humans, and they deserve their own personal space at times, and like us, they too can be pushed to their limit.
