House Sitter in Boulder
I have been privileged to work with students and families for the last 7 years, encouraging them to deepen their passions for the Arts. Immediately after graduating from Belmont University in 2009, I began teaching music in various public education settings; first in a top performing middle school in rural Tennessee, and most recently a TNLI (Transitional Native Language Instruction) Elementary School in inner city Denver. I have developed general music curriculums for grades K-8, directed multiple performances and events, and have turned a non-existent choral program into year-around class of 70 students. At the same time I began my teaching career, I also founded Gods Got Talent, an arts camp that encourages middle and high school students to explore faith and creativity in music, art, dance, drama, photography, video, and crafts. I have directed this annual weeklong event every summer since graduation. I organized workshops and performances with local speakers, bands, artisans, and the like to share their gifts and talents with our campers. I was in sole charge of creating a yearly theme, scheduling the week, writing daily devotions, as well as recruiting and accommodating the needs of artists, leaders, and participants. I am currently taking time off from teaching this year, and am looking for a position that will compliment my graduate school schedule. I love animals, children, and am very responsible and reliable. I would love to hear from you if you are interested!
