House Sitter in Vail, Colorado

Taking some time to explore this big world after 6 years of being live-in caretakers for adults with various developmental disabilities. We lived outside of Philadelphia at a school called Camphill Soltane for 3 years taking care of 6 adults while living in a large 12 bedroom home on campus.. which was our responsibility to clean top to bottom! We got married during our 1st year there and after 2 more years of caretaking we decided we wanted to live with just a few less people and focus on our marriage. One of the adults living in Philadelphia with us is from Colorado and his parents asked us to move along with him and take care of him there. So, here we are! We live in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, in Vail Colorado. After 2.5 years of being here, I think we are finally ready to take some real time for ourselves and take a break from caretaking. Brian has quite a bit of 'handyman' knowledge so your home is in good hands if anything were to go wrong and I can't leave a room untidy so I've got the cleaning covered! We have pet sit for many dogs and cats along with plants too! We will never say no to some snuggles from a pup or a cat! Flexible on location and duration - Short or Long term, but preferably longer than 1 week if air travel is required. We love the outdoors; going on long hikes, skiing, and camping are amongst our favorite things to do together. Rainy days are for reading a good book on the couch together and sipping on lattes!
