Whether your going away for just the weekend or longer I will come to your home to check and make sure everything is okay. I can pick up your mail/newspapers, take your garbage out. In winter months, I can make sure the furnace is working and there is no frozen pipes and give your home the lived in feeling by clearing your walkway if needed. In the summer, you may need your yard looked after, by watering flower pots, garden and setting the sprinkler for the lawn. You may want to make it look as if someone is home, I can perhaps alternate lights and opening/closing curtains or blinds. You may have a service person coming while your at work, no need to take a day off or miss that important meeting, I will come and let the service person in and wait till they finish their work.
